I had the opportunity and the honor to serve as the assistant photographer, videographer and editor for the HEEF 26th Annual Celebration. For several weeks we planned, scheduled, traveled, set up and videotaped 7 interviews, then edited them into short presentations to share during the 2019 HEEF Annual Celebration. On the day of the event, we photographed guests and celebrities arriving, socializing, dining, speaking, and receiving awards.
The Orange County Hispanic Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) serves students who live in Orange County, California. Our mission is to improve access to higher education for OC Hispanic/Latino students.
The 2019 HEEF Annual Celebration awarded $250,500 in scholarships to 87 recipients, representing 31 high schools in 12 Orange County school districts. The event also raised over $200,000 with its better-than-expected sponsor commitments and the “Fund-A-Scholar” portion of the event. Sponsors for this year’s event were led by Angels Baseball Foundation, with additional sponsors including SVA Architects, Edison International, Union Bank, and National University, among others.
