When the Chair Person and the Art Exhibit Curator reached out to me to create a video for the 50th. anniversary commemoration of one of the most important Mexican-American / Chicano social action events from the 1960s and 1970s, I was more than ready.  The journey to equality and justice, to opportunity and education, and to equal status for the cultural and artistic contributions of the Los Angeles and Orange County citizens of Mexican descent is ongoing.  The commemoration taking place this year on the 50th anniversary of August 29, 1970 is significant.  I hope my collaboration with the Commemoration Committee will make a difference.
It has been 50 years since the August 29, 1970 Chicano Moratorium. This 50th Anniversary year we commemorate that crucial event in U.S. history by an Art Exhibit featuring a host of outstanding emerging and master artists. This video highlights major events of the past, the present, and the future. We do not forget - Educate!
